Navy Enlistment Bonus Tracker
Active ComponentActive Duty (Active Component) only. The Navy's Enlistment Incentives (EI) program covers four bonus types you may stack: the source-rate bonus (EBSR), the shipping bonus (EBSHP), the Physical Screening Test bonus (EBPST) for Special Operations, and the Loan Repayment Program (LRP). Numbers below are sourced verbatim from the CNRC GENADMIN dated April 10, 2026 and apply to any Future Sailor classified or reclassified after April 12, 2026. Selective Reenlistment Bonuses (SRB) — paid for re-enlisting Sailors, not initial accessions — live inside each rate profile's Reenlistment section.
Reserve component (SELRES) shipping bonuses are governed by a separate Commander, Navy Reserve Forces Command incentive message (most recent: CNRF FY25 Selected Reserve Recruiting and Retention Incentives, msg 232145Z SEP 25). They are not included on this page. Reservists should ask their recruiter for the latest CNRF incentive message.
Funding caveat: NDAA 2026 authorizes contracts containing these bonuses through December 31, 2026, and current appropriations cover obligations through September 30, 2026. The maximum-EB increases for selected ratings remain authorized through June 4, 2028. All amounts are subject to congressional reauthorization of 37 USC § 331. Always verify with a recruiter before signing.

Enlistment-Bonus Caps
The total EB across every type cannot exceed the rating's cap. If the sum would exceed it, EBSR is reduced first. The Loan Repayment Program is independent and stacks on top of the cap.

Source-Rate Bonus (EBSR)
The headline bonus tied to the rating you sign for. Earned at A/C-school graduation (or later milestones for the special-operations pipelines — see footnotes). EBSR is the only bonus that can be partially recouped if you separate before completing the obligated service.

Shipping Bonus (EBSHP)
A separate bonus paid at RTC graduation for shipping inside a designated window. Cannot be recouped after RTC. AFQT 31+ required (i.e. ≥ 31). The "ALL" row is a universal $5,000 bonus that stacks with any rating-specific EBSHP for FSs shipping in the listed window.

Physical Screening Test Bonus (EBPST)
Bonus for Navy Special Operations Future Sailors who exceed the elevated Physical Screening Test standards. NSO ratings only. Earned at RTC graduation; cannot be recouped after.
Loan Repayment Program (LRP)
Pays off qualifying federal student loans up to $65,000, separate from the EB cap. Available to Active Component Future Sailors with AFQT ≥ 50 who have LRP listed as a guarantee on their NAVCRUIT 1133/52 Annex. Approximately 25% of each payment is withheld for taxes, and a DD 2475 must be submitted per payment. Sailors that ship without LRP in their contract cannot add it later.

EBSR Notes

Aviation Rescue Swimmer (AIRR) ATF: payment occurs after graduation from Naval Aircrew Candidate School (NACCS), "A" school, Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) training, AND arrival at first permanent duty station.

Special Boat (SB) ATF: payment occurs after graduation from the Charlie Phase of Special Warfare Combat Crewman (SWCC) training.

Additional bonus for Nuclear Field Future Sailors who volunteer for submarine duty (SUBVOL). Requires a completed SUBVOL NAVPERS 1070/613 "Page 13" and the "Submarine Volunteer" checkbox set in the applicant record before the bonus is added to the Annex. SUBVOL status is verified before shipping.
EBSHP Notes

EBSHP eligibility exists only while the FS is in DEP — they may not reclassify at RTC. Earned and payable upon RTC graduation. Cannot be recouped due to post-RTC reclassification or separation.

NRC classifiers must list EBSHP separately on the NAVCRUIT 1133/52 Enlistment Guarantee.

EBSHP is intended to fill shipping gaps during the authorized window. Recruiters should not advise FSs to roll out and back in to chase a bonus.

Future Sailors must have an AFQT score of 31 or higher to be eligible for EBSHP.

If the Navy itself moves a Sailor's ship date to align with an A-school class convening date, the EBSHP entitlements are preserved on the Annex and SOU.

Nuclear Field FSs classified into ship dates outside the authorized window because of security-clearance adjudication remain eligible for EBSHP.

ADEK-JOG covers the ABE-5YO, ABF-5YO, and ABH-5YO ratings. FSs classified or reclassified into any of these three may be eligible if placed in an authorized shipping period.

This universal EBSHP applies to all Future Sailors scheduled to ship during the designated period and may be combined with any rating-based EBSHP for which the FS qualifies.

When a Future Sailor meets the elevated PST standards in the NSO recruiting guidance, the EBPST is added to the Enlistment Guarantee (NAVCRUIT 1133/52).
LRP Notes

Future Sailor must access into Active Component and have LRP listed as a guarantee on their current Annex to DD Form 4 (NAVCRUIT 1133/52). The NRC LRP Manager approves prior to a new Annex being generated. LRP can stack with all other EB types up to its own $65,000 maximum.
Cross-cutting Policy Notes

Future Sailors with Tier 3 education credentials (e.g., HiSET / GED / alternative credential) are NOT authorized any EB.

Prior-service members re-enlisting onto Active Duty must enter at pay grade E-4 or below, must not have received a bonus on their first enlistment, and (Navy prior-service) must have been separated from active duty for at least 12 months before shipping.

EBHS (EB for High School) is currently NOT AUTHORIZED in this message — distinct from prior cycles when EBHS was offered.

During lapsed appropriations, classifiers may still include EB on a contract if the DD 1966 carries the funding-availability disclaimer; payment is then subject to a future appropriation.

Bonuses are paid in installments. Only the unearned portion of EBSR is eligible for recoupment; EBSHP/EBPST cannot be recouped after RTC graduation.
